MARKING ON PET PLASTIC – LID – GRAPEFRUIT

Redimark TC12 Inkjet Printer mark on plastic grapefruit lid. T602K Ink used.

MARKING SYSTEM AND INK

The best by expiry date and internal tracking code is printed directly on the high barrier IB-PET (polyethylene terephthalate) grapefruit lid with the Redimark TC12 thermal inkjet date coder using T602K ink.

The T602K ink, with a 2-5 second dry time and prints on most plastics, including flexible packaging made of easily yielding materials such as plastic, film, foil, or paper sheeting, with a semi-porous to non-porous surface, and comes in a variety of packaging types like bags, envelopes, pouches, sachets, and wraps. When filled and sealed, flexible packaging acquires a pliable shape and makes thousands of CPG products more convenient, enjoyable, and safer for consumers.

The T602K ink also has a decap time/print idle time of up to 20 hours, reducing the chance of the solvent drying out and ink becoming unusable if stored or left out on the line uncapped.
